I created this site all on my own, almost completely by hand.

I hand-coded all the HTML and designed all the images. The one exception is the typewriter on the homepage; I used Adobe ImageReady to slice the original image into tiles.

In the process of putting this site together, I learned a great deal about HTML and CSS. The site is currently designed using HTML tables, but given how much I’ve learned, I look forward to revising it and using CSS for layout. But not too soon. It took a lot of work to get it up at all, and I’m content to let it sit for a while.

(If you don’t know what I mean by HTML tables and CSS, that’s OK. I admit I’m a bit of a computer geek, and this is one of those times that it really shows.)

I also wrote and edited all the copy on the site. And I’ll be the first to admit that I am my own worst editor. So if you notice a typo or a think-o, please feel free to contact me. I always appreciate it when people prevent me from embarrassing myself.
